Hi beauties! I’m popping in to share with you all a glimpse into my Santa Fe getaway weekend, I had a few weeks ago. My dear friend Michelle was here and we took a small trip to Santa Fe. We both has such a blast, exploring the hotel grounds, soaking in all the history, culture and artwork. PLUS the amazing food.
THE HOTEL: Hotel Santa Fe, otherwise known as the only Native American owned hotel in Santa Fe. It has so much to offer, from the beautiful art, the music and culture of the Pueblo people. The Pueblo spirit comes through in all the artwork, architecture and the authentic experience you get once you walk in. They have award winning, one of a kind Native American art collection, the Amaya restaurant is to die for and the spa is out of this world, relaxing. Not only that but each room is painted to resemble the skies that Santa Fe has to offer. I also totally dig that the hotel is pet friendly, so if you wanna bring your fur babies you totally can. THE rooms babes, are all too beautiful for words, from the paintings leading to the rooms in the hallway, to the beautiful haciendas, that’s what they call their suites, they come with their own butler service. (I know, cool, right, I die)
THE ITINERARY: Michelle and I both totally agreed on pretty low key trip, we wanted to unwind, relax, enjoy some crazy delicious food, some spa treatments and lots of outdoor fun. We arrived Saturday afternoon and headed to our room to unpack. Then had a small snack at the hotel bar, while we enjoyed people watching and catching bar. Then headed out to the top floor on the haciendas side and took in the night, watching the sun set and the skies become dark and covered with stars. After that we headed back to shower and change before joining the crowd downstairs to enjoy live music. Around eight we ventured outside to the wonderful Amaya restaurant and ate incredible food. We woke up early on Sunday morning to catch the seasonal complimentary yoga classes, by local yogis. After that we had breakfast before changing into something comfy to explore the grounds and head to the spa for some treatments, like massages, facials and more.
THE FOOD: I am in love with Amaya, babes the food was, too good for words. I was speechless, which you know doesn’t happen often. The dessert was out of this world, homemade chocolate candy bar, a poached pear with gingerbread crumble. It was Christmas in my mouth. NO JOKE..! I would LOVE it if they could deliver dessert to my house every Friday.I loved that the had vegetarian options as well as gluten free ones. While I indulged a little more than I normally do. It was way worth it. They did a fabulous job merging seasonal ingredients with Pueblo and Northern New Mexico culinary traditions. I also really like that you can enjoy a private dinner at teepee. COOL right? This is only available from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the winter months the snow will make it a little tough. Hehe.
THE ART: The art through Santa Fe is amazeballs, the hotel has such a wide variety of art everywhere. The lobby, the path way to get to the rooms. PLUS all the cool status. I have to say my favorite was this wall here.
THE CREW: I haven’t seen Michelle in over twelve years and it was such a blast catching up and just showing her all the beautiful sites Santa Fe has to offer. PLUS I also wanted to show all of you, that you don’t need to drink or go to a bar to have fun!
THE HIGHLIGHTS: Making awesome memories, the sunset views, crazy cool artwork and meeting incredible people. PLUS that dessert yo.
Who else loves Santa Fe? Anyone considering a trip there soon? I am SO in love with the entire area. We are so beyond lucky to have so many beautiful places to explore on this gorgeous planet. Thank you Hotel Santa Fe for a wonderful weekend, filled with tons of laughter, great food and just such lovely people.
