WHY I DRINK AVOCADO TEA + WHY YOU SHOULD TOO BECAUSE THE HEALTH BENEFITS ARE LEGIT
As you babes know I am an avocado lover. All my friends make fun of me for the large amounts of avocado that I eat. I probably eat an avocado or two a day. I know, I’m obsessed. I’ve been really trying to find uses for the pit and when I started talking to my step dad about it, he told me he heard that it has amazing health benefits. So I being the wellness obsessed girl that I am started to do my own research to see if it was true, that it has incredible health benefits. It turns out that there are people who are totally on board and totally off.
While I like to test theories out myself before making a decision, it turns out I am totally on board when it comes to drinking avocado pit tea.
+ boost your immune system
+great soluble fiber for digestion – which is great for high cholesterol, diarrhea and constipation
+anti-inflammatory -from all the high levels of catechins and procyandins
+full of antioxidants – it contains more than 70% of the antioxidants in the entire fruit.
+ just like green tea the pit has high levels of polyphenols which is really great at preventing cancer
There are two ways to make the tea, you can either grate it with a microplane and mix it with hot water. Or you can either halve the seed and drop it in boiling water for about 8-10 minutes.
