Paleo Loaded Sweet Potato Fries

Paleo Loaded Sweet Potato Fries are the next best thing, made with real simple and organic ingredients. These fries are too good you won’t believe they are healthy!

Stop what ever it is that you’re doing right now and go make this recipe. Because it is crazy delicious. Divine delicious. Basically lick the plate clean delicious. BUGS this is awesome. I seriously can’t even with this recipe. I made it twice this weekend and thought okay, I have to put this on the blog, cause I know you’re totally gonna love it as much as I do.

So let me tell you the back story of this recipe. I started watching Sex in the City about a month ago on Amazon Prime. Truth be told while I’ve seen all the movies before, for some weird reason I think I’ve been living under a strange rock and I had yet to see the show. I’m kind of like addicted at this point. It’s the perfect show to watch on a Friday or Saturday night and binge eat anything tasty like these crazy good loaded sweet potato fries.

When Simply Organics came out with their new Simmer Sauces I knew it was the perfect base for my grass-fed meat. Most of my spices to be honest are from them and I knew that whatever new product they have coming out has to keep the same awesome flavor.  Usually packaged sauces are filled with yucky stuff but not these awesome gems. Simply Organic Simmer Sauces are beyond perfect since all I have to do, is brown my grass fed beef, add in the sauce and let it reduce slightly. In less time then it takes to order and get your take out you have such a delicious meat sauce that will pair beautifully with the crispy sweet potato fries.

I used the south west taco because it totally made a mash up of my favorite things in life, tacos, sweet potato and no corn. Hahaha.

The best thing is if you wanna make this plant based and use shredded jackfruit, you totally can, if you wanna switch it up with turkey, or ground chicken. It is all cool!

Basically it feeds all types of eaters.

The toppings you use are also totally up to you. I opted to keep things on the fresh side with, diced summer tomatoes, avocado and some almond cheese. Cause you all know, I can’t do dairy. Oh and you cannot forget some fresh herbs like cilantro and green onion! YUM.

Btw I’m growing my own green onion! … more on this later.

Simply Organics has been one of my favorite grands since I started cooking and baking. I use their vanilla extract, cinnamon and turmeric in pretty much everything. Their spices and seasonings are grown and processed in an ethical and sustainable manner. Oh and they give back 1/% of their sales to the organic growers and their communities.

If you make these loaded sweet potato fries, share them with me on Instagram or tell me below! I love seeing the awesome twist you babes put into them.

1 lb of grass fed ground beef, or you can use turkey, chicken or even jackfruit

1 package of Simply Organic Simmer Sauces south west taco

2 lbs of of pre cut sweet potatoes into fries, I buy the already cut frozen variety from Whole Foods or you can cut them yourself

avocado oil to spray

salt + pepper + nutritional yeast, to taste

cilantro leaves and chopped green onion to garnish

diced tomato to top

diced avocado to top

any other toppings you like, almond cheese, jalapeños, radishes or more

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

In a large cast iron skillet on medium high heat add the protein of choice. I used grass fed ground beef here. Brown the meat for about 8-10 minutes.

Meanwhile in a large bowl toss the sweet potato fries with salt + pepper spray with avocado oil and toss on a large cookie sheet. You want to make sure they are all in one single layer, for ultimate crispy fries.

Bake for about 20-30 minutes, turning them over once.

While they bake, go back to your meat and break it up. Add the summer sauce and reduce the heat to low heat. Let it thicken and turn off the heat.

Start prepping all your toppings and put on a large platter on the side.

When the fries are ready remove from the oven and divide on to four plates. 1/2 a lb per person, then top with 1/4 of the meat mixture. Add the desired toppings and enjoy!

  6. As soon as I read the title, I was like, “YES!!!!!!”. I was Paleo last year for a few months and felt great! I lost weight and had an insane amount of energy. Not sure why I ever did (I guess it was a matter of convenience), but I eventually fell off the wagon and I’ve been meaning to get back into it. Thanks so much for this recipe- know that it will be put to good use!!

  7. I’ve never really watched Sex and the City either. I’m not sure how I’ve stayed away from it so long. I love absolutely anything sweet potato. I’ve made sweet potato fries, but never with taco seasoning. This is definitely something worth trying.

  8. I love all things sweet potato, and these look delicious! I usually avoid packet type seasonings, because they contain some really weird stuff more often than not. However, this brand looks like something to consider. I will have to check it out.
