I have spent a lot of time this holiday season thinking about my intentions + manifestations for the coming year. While I set monthly intentions the first days of the month, I do feel like with this new found spiritual side, I should really focus on not resolutions (because truth be told I’ve never been a fan) but rather what I want to manifest in 2018.
Those of you who have been following for a while, know how I fell head first into blogging and it was instantly love at first sight. It combined my passion for wellness, mental health, writing and my favorite thing on earth cooking. I felt like the universe gave me the answer to all of my questions. I love the idea of being able to connect through the blog & social media with the world all while making a difference.
I love what I do and wouldn’t trade it for the world, all I am looking for now is being able to turn this love of mine into a full time career along with freelance writing for magazines and online platforms I am crazy passionate about and have inspired me.
My biggest manifestation for 2018 other than internal peace, health and self love is being able to move to Colorado and make my dream come true of blogging and freelance writing for a living.
I’ve been working on this goal for over a year and half now, and after sitting down and giving it some serious thought, here are the magical details on what I came up with to focus + manifest this year:
2018 MANIFESTATIONS + INTENTIONS
More recipes to help keep you mood balanced.! The whole reason behind starting FOP was so that I could share my experience with my eating disorder (how I have been in recovery + keep my mind on a positive wavelength when it comes to food) + how I was able to balance my mood disorder + hormonal imbalance in a natural, holistic way and how food plays a large role.
Collaborate with more companies in Colorado. I fell head first for Colorado in the summer, the people, the community and just the healthy mindset. It really does feel like home to me and while I love all of the companies that continue to support FOP, I truly want to be able to support more local, women owned, companies + brands.
Collab with other bloggers and people in the wellness scene. I love these kind of post which is why I started Tea Tim with, I wanted a space where I could pick the brains of some of the people that most inspire me. I love being able to connect with other like minded people who not only help me grow but also let me share awesome philosophies and recipes with all of you.
Inspire: YES. This is a huge one for me. I started FOP to be able to share my story with the world, bring more attention to the mental health community. Show that there is more to this beautiful community than what the stigma shares. One of the best moments of 2017 was when I was able to publish an article for Elephant Journal and have someone reach out to me and tell me that my story gave the hope. I legit cried happy tears for a full on week. It was the more gratifying and beautiful sensation ever.
Grow. While I am talking about the blog, I am also talking about me. On the daily I focus on growing the blog, increasing my following on Instagram + engagement, bringing new traffic to the blog and just being able to spread my story with the world. I also really want to focus on letting myself grow as a person, explore more, grow my connection with the spiritual world and just flow.
Travel.! I love that part of this world is traveling, connecting with others, experiencing new cultures and filling my heart with joy. In 2017 I was able to explore a lot of New Mexico, Colorado and take a quick trip to New York. I also moved in February from Panama to Albuquerque. 2018 has a lot more travel involved and also another move, this time to my current neighboring state plus love of my life-Colorado. I am still torn between Boulder and Denver, I am leaving this up to the universe.
Collab with CBD companies and explore more of the wonderful health benefits it has: I started taking CBD oil earlier this year and it was life changing, I wrote a post about all the health benefits it has earlier this month and how much it has helped my insomnia, anxiety and so much more. I would love to be able to enter this world and be able to collaborate and connect with this community.
Freelance writing for online platforms and magazines: Writing has always been a passion of mine, I was an english major before I medically withdrew from school my sophomore year. It was my way of leaving my fast paced mind and being able to step into another world. I could let my emotions run freely, there was no judgement and I was myself. As much as I love the blogging world, I still very much would love to freelance for magazines like 303 Magazine in Colorado or Mind Body Green, Well + Good, 5280 in Colorado, Colorado Life Magazine, Anxy Magazine, Dope Magazine, and more. Bring it 2018! I know you will not disappoint.
CONNECT MORE WITH YOU Being able to connect with all of you, bring you recipes you are looking for, or write about a specific topic you are interested in really brings me joy. I want to do more events with you all, giveaways and meet ups to be able to connect with you all more IRL. I wouldn’t be where I am or where I am headed without all of you. I am beyond grateful for each and everyone of you. Thank you so much for joining me on this magical journey and letting me share my story with the world. Thank you so much for letting me do what I love each and every single day.
