Hi guys! I am soooo excited to share this tea time with all of you! I’ve been waiting like three weeks to share it, actually a bit more. When I first received this book in the mail, I was legit jumping up and down. Mainly because, I was beyond excited to read this book and most importantly because I decided that I was going to take an impromptu trip to NY to attend Dr. Taz’s book launch. Which was awesome because I was fortunate to meet Dr. Taz herself and grab an extra copy of her book to send to one of you! SO there is a cool giveaway happening! So this tea time, it a little different, because I wanted to mix in a little of my trip and how unreal it was when I had the opportunity to meet her.

I love that she draws inspiration from Ayurvedic, Chinese and Western medicine, to prescribe the perfect plan for each type of superwomen. Honestly these plans are SO helpful and I am gonna be following her guide for the next few weeks.

Okay if you haven’t read her book yet, you babes NEED to check it out.

Basically you first take a quiz online to figure out what power type you are. You can totally do this for fun here. In the book she goes into details on what each type of super women likes, what they should do to feel their best, with food, exercise and so much more.

I found out I was a boss women.

It makes SO much sense on so many levels.

I am beyond driven, and speak my mind without thinking first. I am a details freak. I was reading her book about how we tend to be pretty balanced and calm but when we are out of balanced we get easily irritated and bubs this is SO true.

I might start the week in a mega awesome mood and pretty chill and then when Friday hits, the littlest things like someone left a dish in the kitchen sink will set me off.

HUGE pet peeve of mine, dirty dishes in the sink.

I also like that there are other quizzes in the book to help you learn more about yourself. I’m all about that.

You wake up, what is the first thing that you do?

+ The first thing I do in the am is head to the kitchen to make my morning tea- I love this ritual- the warmth, ginger, slightly bitter taste- I look forward to it and feel out of sorts when I don’t get it.

Do you have a favorite mantra or quote?

+ All things are possible- what the mind believes the eyes can see.

Can you share your favorite wellness hack with us?

+No eating after 6:00 pm at least five nights per week, and using digestive enzymes.

Your one guilty food pleasure?

+Chocolates, chocolates or potato chips- aargh! Almond butter

Your favorite recipe ?

+Mocha chia chocolates, almond butter, honey, chia seeds and granola.

What does your typical day look like?

Morning tea- meditation- answer emails- get kids ready for school- get ready for work or write- see patients, head home, dinner, evening with kids more emails, sleep. I usually squeeze in my am workout during the week and weekends.

What inspired you to be a writer?

I think writing runs in my blood, I know there are more books, stories in my head and I love seeing my ideas, visions and experience come to life. It is both pain and joy to write but I have always been a writer, even as a young child. I wrote stories, essays, poems- now I channel that skill into health and medical writing.
