4 Healthy Foods to Eat If You Have A Hormonal Imbalance
First thing first, before we jump into these amazing, healing and delicious 4 foods you can eat if you have a hormonal imbalance, let’s talk about hormones and what causes an imbalance.
WHAT ARE HORMONES
Hormones are your body’s chemical messengers produced in the endocrine glands, these incredible chemicals are what tell your tissues and organs what to do. They even help control your hormones and reproduction system.
So when you have an imbalance is when you have too much or too little of a certain hormone. This little or too much can affect anything from your weight, sleep, mood and so much more. Throughout the years I have noticed the difference certain foods have on my health, more importantly, my hormones. I was diagnosed with a hormonal imbalance called PCOS when I was 16 and it wasn’t until I was 23 that I finally found a way to start treating my hormonal imbalance holistically and with food. While it can seem daunting at first, I always say, take it one day at a time.
Eat these four foods to get some balance within your hormonal imbalance.
EAT ALL THE FERMENTED EATS
Remember that fermented foods are filled with probiotics aka good gut bacteria which are crucial in balancing out your gut. Balanced gut balanced out your hormones. Aim to eat of these two to three times a day.

FEAST ON THOSE PASTURE RAISED EGGS AND YOKKS!
I don’t know if you guys know but I was a vegetarian from the time I was 15 until I became a vegan when I was 22 for about three years. When I started to see someone to help me with my hormonal imbalance the first thing they had me do was incorporate animal protein, it started off with collagen peptides and then eggs. The following month my period came back after being a hit or miss since I was 14. Eggs are full of Vitamin A, D, and B and also are high in Zinc, Iron, Calcium, and Phosphorus.
